21 dates for the V8 Hotstox this season kicking off at Kings Lynn on the 25th March as support to the F1's. A solid list sees a new track for the V8's as Steve Rees' Brampton offers 5 dates although the opener may well be lost if the track isn't ready. The Startrax crew are busily trying to ready the facility for stock cars. A welcome returnee is Skegness for a much missed speedweekender in late may. Hopefully this will make up for the sad loss of Barford which proved to be a good outpost for the Hotstox as far as action goes. Just a shame that it wasnt better supported. Coventry have chipped in with 2 dates but Sheffield does not feature.
The National Championship returns to tarmac this year & Northampton is the chosen venue. The next most prolific is the British which is to be held at Buxton, just reward for Dave Pierce's backing of the Hotstox. A championship which reappears after a few years absence is the National pairs Championship. Now, that naughty man Neil Fry has claimed that it was he & Paul Heath that concieved the idea - TOSH ! It was myself & Neil Stuchbury ! who just happens to be the defending champion along with Paul Hines of now F1 fame. Well anyway, whoever thought of it, I'm glad it's coming back & will feature at the Skeggy weekender. Fixtures in full :
