It is with deep regret that we have to report the loss of Spedeworth V8 driver Steve Spinks #505 who died on
Sunday 29th June from injuries sustained whilst racing at Yarmouth Stadium the same evening. Steve who came from Ipswich was 46 years old & had been around the Spedeworth circuits for a number of years.

It is perhaps somewhat ironic that Steve led his final race before - it is believed - his throttle stuck open & his car impacted the fence. Steve was administered first aid but succumbed to his injuries. No other car was involved & no other driver was injured. Our thoughts go out to his family & friends at such a tragic time.
