Coventry Offer Extra Dates

Coventry International Speedway's Jeremy Heaver has approached the V8 Hotstox with an offer of 3 extra meetings. The dates on offer are to run on Friday nights alongside Bangers which should ensure bumper crowds. The first of these dates is Friday the 8th of July. BoC Chairman Neil Fry has yet to confirm the deal with Mr Heaver wanting firstly to gauge opinion from the drivers. The most important point is just how many would be able to attend friday night sessions. After speaking to a few drivers, the response so far is favourable, but a decent turn out of cars is the key to making the meetings a success. If the Hotstox can make a good impression, it may well encourage some of the Banger lads to take a look at our sport which they are sure not to do if we produce a mediocre attendance. Start times are not clear at the moment, but obviously they will play a major part in enabling drivers and punters to get to the track in good time. It would also be handy if the pit gate staff at Coventry could turn around stadium entry a little bit quicker than they usually do ! |

A meeting at Kings Lynn on saturday will help form opinions, but for those not able to attend, Neil Fry has asked that you contact him to let him know your views - good or bad. Drivers, please get in touch with Neil asap either via his mobile : 07789 891549 or by emailing him. We need feedback and as the first proposed meeting is only a few weeks away, we need it sooner rather than later.
