George Riley (17) New Season Sensation!
New Season sensation George Riley (17) has been topping the results, picking up a handful of wins and as a result, now finds himself top of the points off the back of winning his first final – after three meetings!
“It’s been a shock to be honest I never thought I’d be winning a final anytime soon or even be winning a heat with 3rd in the final in my second meeting.”
“It’s a real eye opener, being in the workshop a lot, spending most of my spare time on the car or even preparing spares; credit to everyone else who is in the same boat. Until you do it you don’t realise how much time and effort goes in.”
“We had a good first meeting at Stoke, the only aim of the night was to finish some races and I came away with top 10’s which made our night. Buxton a week later, I had a heat win in the terrible rain when to be honest I couldn’t really see much all meeting, because of the rain and spray.”
“Then onto an over whelming meeting at Birmingham Wheels Saturday 25th, Heat 1st and 2nd and then winning the final; which felt really good and makes all the time spent worthwhile, to top the night off with a result in the Grand National from the handicap, which was awesome.”
“I did race Rebels for a little while; but not for long, i think it was 6 meetings; leg room was an issue for me!”
“The aim for the season is just to have a good year and try and do as many meetings as possible; we’ll have to see what the season brings.”
“I would like to thank: JBS Commercials, D&R Meats, Beaver Bus MOT Station, Blythewood Plant Hire, Brookside Country Meats, Hi Spec Race Engineering, B&S Autos, Bracher Race Engines and also Ian, Ryan, Team Brown #288 plus all the team for their support and help.”
