And what a great start it was, with shale racer Rudi Coleano 77 took Heat 1 after a last bend attempt from #1 Steve Thompson.
Jon Brown 288 turned up Heat 2 taking an impressive victory after long time leader Gilen Bullock 10 who sadly suffered engine problems.
The Grand Final was a fast paced and full of action, Jon Brown 288 took the lead towards the end of the race after Craig Thompson 490 suffered a flat tyre, further back Craig Smith 187 mounted an attack on Kevin Stuchbury 131 turning him and putting him out of contention for the win; Craig then continued the long battle through the field. Meanwhile Steve Thompson 1 got by Rudi Coleano 77 for 2nd place on the grid and Rudi rounded out a strong night in 3rd.
