Change of Chairman
V8 Hotstox Chairman Keith Organ resigned from the position 30th November after 3 years in the role with an additional 18 months prior as BoC member and Vice Chairman.
Organ explained: “3 years is the optimum time i think, you don’t want to be stale and hold the job back. Change can be a good thing, new ideas and new people; it’s good, that coupled with lack of time on my part it would be a disservice to the club remaining – i would want to be 100% and i simply can’t do that anymore.”
“I’m very, very proud of my achievements in that time, it’s been a rollercoaster of a journey, but i like to think the V8 Hotstox are in a stronger, stable and more organised position than when i took over. Long may that continue, there are some fantastic people in the formula and the formula deserves to be receiving the recognition it gets.”
“I’d like to thank everyone that has helped, supported and challenged in my time as chairman and i simply can’t name everyone, but particular thanks to the hard working committee, Darren Summers tough love and of course Sophie Clarke the ever present support. THANK YOU.”
“I’m really keen for some time off, recharge the batteries and look forward to my next challenge going forward – to be confirmed! I wish the new committee all the best and I’ll be available to the new committee in what ever capacity they need me. I’ll always be able to offer help and guidance when required – can’t get rid of me that easy!”
