The legendary Coventry Stadium was the venue for this year’s BriSCA V8 Hotstox Ladies Race on September 5th. Ten ladies took to the track in a bid to raise money for two charities.

The total raised by the ladies was a whopping £1245! The British Stock Car Drivers Ben Fund – for injured drivers and St. John Ambulance both receive £572.50 each and Rethink Mental Illness, whom the main meeting was sponsored on behalf of, will be given £100.

The race was well supported by the crowd, who witnessed the meeting sponsor’s car, driven by BriSCA F1 driver John Lund’s wife Annette race to victory. A close race all of the way between all of the ladies the final result was 53 Annette Lund, 282 Nikki Mellor, 266 Sheryl May, 288 Emma Brown, 375 Ellie Dawson, 525 Sam Jagger, 309 Andrew Baxter, 222 Samantha Munro, 159 Sam Hawkins and DNF 275 Jeanette Hawkins.

A big well done to all of the ladies who took part and thank you to everyone who supported by lending cars and sponsoring the ladies! Here’s to next year!
