World Championship: Congratulations Kev Stuchbury
Congratulations to Kevin Stuchbury (1); winning the V8 Hotstox C.F. Mee Haulage World Final for the fourth time; Stuchbury fought off top competition to lift the crown. Stuchbury survived a complete restart and a separate caution period to win.
Stuchbury said: ‘I’m really happy to win it again, I knew I had a chance because I always go well round Stoke. It was a hard race with a lot of traffic to get through in the early stages. Once we got to halfway I was just trying not to push too hard because you can easily make a mistake and slide into a parked car. Once the lap boards came out, I could see in the mirror I was well clear so just took it steady for the last few laps. I would like to thank everyone who helps me with the cars and the sponsors because without them we wouldn’t be doing every meeting: NSM,B.E Allen, Tom Harris motorsport, Motts Travel, GM fabrications and ARO exhausts.’
Well done again to Stuchbury, commiserations to Darren Cottrill (575) finishing second and Steve Bowman (314), who drove a great race from row 15 to finish 3rd.
Once again a big thank you to CF Mee Haulage for their sponsorship of the World Final and to Peak Remedial + Luxury Loos for their partnership across the evening too.
